Thrive Personnel are currently recruiting a Technical Services manager on behalf of our client based in South Kirby.
The main responsibilities of the role are as follows;
•Manage FMQS in line with legislative, customer & scheme requirements and communicate to wider team any relevant changes.
•Ensure NPD process is tracked and followed, and data required is generated and issued in a timely manner.
•Prepare & host routine audits.
•Responsible for SQA & Supply Chain Map
•Responsible for the legislation tracker and communicating any impacts to business.
•Ensuring Risk assessments are maintained and up to date (Integrity, allergens)
•Generating and tracking the KPI reports and actions supported by the FTM and report to HOT.
•Being the main local authorities contact.
•Responsible for conducting & maintaining Gap analysis / audits against BRC, Customer & Scheme standards.
•Manages Customer & 3rd Party requirements for information in a timely manner.
•Specification management (Supplier and customer)
•Key supporting member of the product withdrawal / Crisis management team
•Monthly review emerging trends and emerging risk in the industry and report any concerns to the management.
Skills:
Exposure to manufacturing on behalf of retailers in desirable - M&S, Tesco, Sainsbury’s own label
At least 6 months internal audit experience within and FMCG environment
It is preferential that the ideal candidate has working knowledge of the BRC.
A flexible approach to work patterns to support the business requirements and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
Computer literate, System understanding ability, Team player.
Understanding of 3rd party audits and government enforcements
Qualifications:
HACCP trained.
Food safety trained.
Willing to undertake further training to develop within the role and support the business as and when required and when change in the food industry or customer COP.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
