Your new companyYour new company is a market leading logistics business in the Lancaster area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.Your new role
* Maintain Sales ledger and Purchase Ledger postings on Sage.
* Reconciling company bank accounts weekly.
* Set up a weekly payment run and once agreed set up payments for FD authorisation on the online banking platform.
* Monthly levy sheet and calculation.
* Updating and maintaining the foreign exchange deals log.
* Provide a monthly debtors report and weekly credit control of due customer invoices.
* Complete month end reports to be used to assist FD in the monthly MA pack e.g. transport analysis.
* Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines - requirements as requested.
* General office duties to include – filing, answering the telephone.
* Make travel bookings as required to include for example flights, hotels, parking, trains.
* Order stationery and other ad hoc office supplies as required.
* Liaising with auditors.
* Providing adhoc information in a timely manner as required by FD/MD.
