Defour Partnership is working with a fantastic Scottish Charity recruiting for a Trusts & Grants Fundraiser.
Working alongside the Community Fundraiser and the Corporate & Events Fundraiser, the Trusts and Grants Fundraiser will play a crucial part in making the charity's vision and mission a reality for people in Scotland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is an experienced Trusts and Grants Fundraiser looking for flexibility in their role, possessing the research, analytical and creative writing skills to be successful in this role for an opportunity to work for a well-regarded and passionate charity who make a huge difference to the lives of others.
Main Purpose of Post:
Grants and Trusts Fundraiser to secure transformational income from charitable Grants, Trusts, Foundations and statutory bodies through compelling and persuasive applications, to sustain and grow the Charities service provision throughout Scotland.
What's on offer
Salary – £32, plus up to 5% pension contribution
35 hours per week (The charity supports flexible working arrangements)
Homebased (with occasional requirement to attend meetings throughout Scotland)
Key responsibilities are to:
1. Secure income predominantly from medium to large sized Grants, Trusts and Foundations against agreed targets.
2. Research, prepare and submit bids to funders – including planning budgets.
3. Complete funding applications within tight deadlines to the highest standard.
4. Actively engage with charity staff, volunteers, families, and board members to develop case studies and compelling funding narratives for funding and social media purposes.
5. Support delivery of services to comply with funders' criteria.
6. Collect and analyse data from spreadsheets and databases for reporting purposes.
7. Produce reports for all funders within tight deadlines to the highest standard.
8. Liaise with funders to update as and when required.
9. Provide outcomes and statistics to funders when required.
10. Ensure databases are recording all relevant monitoring and evaluation information required by funders.
11. Maintain existing pipeline and develop a pipeline of new prospects for Grants and Trusts.
12. Assisting the organisation in creating a long-term fundraising strategy.
13. Proactively promote the charity to potential funders and represent the organisation confidently at external meetings.
14. Input into Fundraising and Project campaigns.
15. Undertake other fundraising duties as required.
16. Flexibility to adapt workload to meet the business's needs.
Skills and experience required:
17. Good standard of education sufficient to enable the postholder to fulfil the requirements of the role.
18. Knowledge of the trust and foundation funding landscape in Scotland.
19. At least two years' experience in a Grants and Trusts fundraising role.
20. Demonstrable experience of writing successful fundraising bids and proposals.
21. Confident using IT, including the full Microsoft Office suite.
