A long-term contract opportunity with a well-known and expanding aerospace parts manufacturer based near Runcorn. Quality Engineer Rate: £35 - £45 p/h (Inside IR35) Location: Runcorn Our client is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join a fast-growing engineering division at their site near Runcorn on a long-term contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, supplying assemblies and components to global aerospace & defence OEMs. Offering a flexible rate bracket of £35-£40 p/h, the initial contract sign-up is for 12 months, however due to continued growth demands and their highest level of demand post-Covid this could easily extend again or develop into a permanent opportunity. What You'll Do As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in developing and implementing quality and business improvements to maximise production, profitability, and customer service within an Aerospace manufacturing environment. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised as you develop business relationships to promote growth within the company whilst maintaining quality standards. You will be responsible for supporting new product introduction, compiling documentation packs, creating inspection plans, and more. Your ability to make effective decisions will be key in minimising quality-related problems. Support New Product Introduction Compile documentation (FAIR / AS9102) Create Inspection Plans Support FMEA Compile Concessions and action Customer Returns NCR & MRB control 8D, PFMEA, Continuous Improvement - ensuring close out of relevant RCCA What You Bring The ideal Quality Engineer candidate will bring a wealth of experience from an Aerospace manufacturing environment, although the company are also considering applicants from other safety-critical industries such as Defence, Automotive and Nuclear. You will have a Degree/HNC Engineering or equivalent professional experience, along with working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (AS9100 / IATF etc.). Your ability to investigate root cause and implement corrective actions will be vital, as will your experience with continuous improvement techniques.
