Operating out of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, they currently employ over people and produce bespoke high-end products for use in a variety of industries and types of facilities.
This employer is based in LEEDS, meaning that the successful Health & Safety Manager will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns and cities including Bradford, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract, Bingley and Keighley.
Key Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Manager will include:
1. Continuously managing, maintaining and improving the internal company QES management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO, and OHSAS
2. Carrying out frequent checks on internal policies to ensure compliance, whilst attempting to identify any opportunities for improvement and new process implementation
3. Investigating accidents and incidents and ensuring that appropriate paperwork and documentation is accurately produced, whilst ensuring corrective action is taken to prevent future incidents of the same nature
4. Continuously monitoring and keeping up to date with newly introduced legislation and implementing new procedures to ensure complete compliance with
5. Actively participating in risk assessments, internal and external audits, toolbox talks and operational training
For the Health & Safety Manager, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:
6. Previous experience working within a similar position, ideally within an Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial organisation/environment
7. Relevant qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma and/or IOSH Certificate
8. Previous experience of maintaining and auditing to ISO, and OHSAS standards
Working Hours of the Health & Safety Manager:
37.5 Hours per week with a flexi-time offered
Standard Hours:
9. Monday to Thursday – 08:15 to 17:00
10. Friday – 08:15 to 12:45
11. Flexi-Time: All overtime and extra hours worked will be given back as hours available to use on this scheme; 4 hour minimum day applied every day (2 Hours in AM and 2 hours in PM)
In return, the Health & Safety Manager will receive:
12. Annual Salary: Up to £55,.00
13. Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including bank holidays
14. Pension Scheme: 8% Combined contributions
