Location: Acorn House, Slough
Salary: Up to £25,000.00 (Depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full Time)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am - 4pm
Position Overview
This position would suit someone who has worked in the facilities maintenance industry previously and is looking to learn more about the systems used to support the Operations team in their daily tasks. Alternatively, we would be interested in a candidate who has no FM experience but is willing to learn.
The Systems Support person will be the primary point of contact for all CAFM and technical support related administration issues at the HQ building of Acorn Maintenance Engineering Group.
You must be confident liaising directly with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders with the ability to form meaningful business relationships with both across all levels, as well as efficiently managing your own time and required outputs.
This role requires an individual who is comfortable with flexible working patterns and being self-reliant and comfortable to work across the companies within the Mecsia Group.
Please Note:
* A full UK driving licence is required.
* Potential for hybrid working after probation.
Responsibilities
CAFM (All below will be taught in house - experience advantageous, but not necessary).
* Administration using a CAFM system.
* Basic data entry, formatting, and querying.
* Reporting and exporting data for review.
* Fault diagnosing and supporting users.
* Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) administration, including version control.
* Providing support to the Head of Systems in development works.
IT (All below will be taught in house - experience advantageous, but not necessary).
* Supporting IT equipment setup, hardware primarily.
* User support, liaising with external Managed Service Provider (MSP).
* Basic data administration.
* Inventory control and asset logging.
* Document control.
* Mobile and Telephony support and administration.
Facilities (Prior experience in FM is preferable, but not necessary)
* Overseeing Head Office FM requirements, in both hard and soft services.
* Supporting audits.

* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Methodical in approach to tasks.
* Self-motivated.
* Some knowledge of CAFM systems.
* Technology savvy - PC literate with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio skills.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification/experience in IT and Computer Aided Facility Management would be advantageous, but not a necessity.
