HMP Rye Hill has a capacity of 660 males after 18+.

This is a permanent role based on 37.5 hours per week over a 4 or 5 days, covering various day shifts Monday - Sunday.
Salary: This position is full-time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £44,000.00 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
* Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed.
* Assess patients' health needs using an evidence-based framework and be able to risk assess using sound clinical knowledge.
* Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients.
* Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders.
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, and evidence-based care.
* Share knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting each other.

Qualifications required
* Current NMC registration.
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
* Working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions.
* Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work, and awareness of substance misuse.
* Sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills including risk assessment.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
