Your Role As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of the building, ensuring high standards of hygiene and sanitation are consistently met. You will be tasked with maintaining all communal areas to meet health and safety standards, creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out work safely in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and observing safe working practices at all times. Using approved materials, substances, and equipment in line with COSHH regulations. Ensuring paintwork, internal glazing, and staircases in communal areas are cleaned to a high standard. Cleaning communal toilets and walk-in showers daily. Vacuuming the main entrance and hallway daily, and other communal areas regularly to meet expected standards. Following the cleaning rota prepared in coordination with the Independent Living Coordinator. Assisting with Health and Safety checks, including Legionella inspections. Reporting defects, stock deficiencies, and equipment issues to the Independent Living Coordinator. Maintaining cleaning equipment in good working order. Cleaning, vacuuming, polishing, changing beds, washing bedding, and cleaning the Guest Room as needed. Providing relief domestic cover at other Independent Living schemes when required. This part-time role is for 9 hours per week, with flexibility on days and times. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
