SEN Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity has recently arisen for a confident SEND TA in a school in South Sheffield! The successful candidate will be working with a number of students with various physical, academic, and pastoral needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the Class Teacher, Senior Leadership, and the SENCO to identify pupils' developmental and learning goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Adapting existing lesson resources to meet the needs of students with diverse needs
2. Managing behaviour through provision of clear expectations and mutual respect
3. Maintaining classroom engagement by building positive relationships with students
4. Communicating with the Class Teacher, Senior Leadership, and SENCO
Requirements:
1. Level 2+ TA or Degree in Education/Social Sciences
2. Experience with children or young people
3. Knowledge of SEND and developmental conditions such as Autism, ADHD
