It's all about challenging the status quo, identifying and solving problems, developing new solutions, and delivering change across our business. Does this sound like you ?
Job Description:
With over 325 years in business, we’ve learned two key lessons: never rest on your laurels and always look for ways to innovate and improve.
Challenging the status quo, identifying and solving problems, creating innovative new solutions and delivering change across our business. In a nutshell, that’s what being an apprentice in a change delivery role at Aviva is all about.
You don’t need to be a tech expert (or be studying it) to join us an apprentice. We’re looking for naturally curious individuals who think big. People who understand the transformative power of technology and are eager to make a difference across our business. We can teach you the rest.
Your role will be permanent from day one. You’ll be earning a salary whilst working towards an apprenticeship and other qualifications, learning from our experts in tech and getting invaluable experience all at the same time.
Ready to shine bright in your career?
Get to know the different pathway roles
There are a number of roles within this pathway which you can learn more about below. Each of them is aligned to a Level 4 Apprenticeship.
You’ll spend 80% of your time gaining real hands-on experience in the role and 20% dedicated to your Apprenticeship studies. You’ll also have a structured training programme and a support network to help you develop.
Roles in this area specialism include:
* Business Analyst (Bristol, Norwich or York): our Business Analysts help us understand our customers’ needs – and what’s required to deliver the practical solutions to meet them. If you’re the kind of person who can explain complex concepts and problems in a simple way, this is the place for you. You’ll analyse and evaluate business opportunities (including the supporting data) and identify areas for improvement. And in everything you do, you’ll champion the use of technology to improve how we do things for our customers and colleagues.
As well as your Level 4 Business Analysis Apprenticeship qualification (equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC)), you’ll also get the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis upon successful completion.
* Project Manager (Norwich): our Project Managers are the experts in organisation – both themselves and others. We look for people who are comfortable taking the lead in group situations and making sure that everyone is heard. With a passion for delivering great customer service and a mix of people and planning skills, you’ll learn to act as an agent of change, driving success over the project lifecycle from initial idea to delivery and project handover, ensuring things get done in the right way, on time and on budget.
As well as your Level 4 Project Manager Apprenticeship qualification (equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC)), we’ll also support you to achieve the Association of Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ).
* Programme Management Office (Norwich or York): our PMO team plays a key role in supporting other business and technology colleagues to deliver strategic change programmes that total hundreds of millions of pounds in value. Like the conductor of a symphony, you’ll provide the independent view that steers the delivery in the right direction. Providing advice and guidance on the best tools to use, the best approaches to take and best ways to measure success, you’ll drive insight and challenge to ensure that everything stays on track and on budget, and that everyone involved is working efficiently and effectively towards the same goal.
As well as your Level 4 Project Manager Apprenticeship qualification (equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC)), we’ll also support you to achieve the Association of Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ).
Your application will be for the whole pathway so don’t worry if you’re not sure which role you’d be best suited to. In fact, we encourage you to have an open mind. Throughout the recruitment process, we’ll assess where your strengths lie and, should you join us, we’ll offer you the role we feel best aligns to these. That said, you will be able to tell us in your application if you have a preferred role or location.
What you’ll get
* A permanent job from day one
* A starting salary of £25,100
* A Level 4 Apprenticeship with all your training paid for
* Support towards relevant professional qualifications and lots of other development opportunities
* A great support network to help you grow into your role.
