The post holder will assist in the Dementia Diagnosis Recovery Programme, focusing on achieving mandated NHSE targets for dementia diagnosis rates.
Key responsibilities include ensuring the availability of post-diagnostic support and preparing for the approval of dementia disease-modifying treatments. This initiative aligns with the broader Mental Health agenda for Worcestershire Integrated Care Boards (ICBs).
To succeed, the post holder must effectively operate in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively to deliver the programme's agreed elements and improve dementia care within the region.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Dementia Diagnosis Recovery Programme Team to ensure organized project delivery by utilizing various support mechanisms and collaborating closely with the PMO.
Responsibilities include providing training to team members and Clinical Programme Leads on project management tools and techniques, as well as conducting requirements analysis and process mapping to identify business needs.
The role involves persuading project boards about the project's significance, negotiating with sites, and effectively communicating sensitive performance and change information.
Additionally, the post holder will analyse process flows to uncover inefficiencies and recommend improvements, assist in running workshops, and contribute to communications and transition plans. They will help identify project-specific risks, maintain risk logs, and support the ongoing development of the Transformation and Delivery Work Programme, all while adhering to Integrated Care System (ICS) principles.

Person specification
Experience
* The candidate possesses a proven track record of effectively navigating politically sensitive environments and demonstrates a strong understanding of budget monitoring and business planning processes. They have experience working within complex settings, particularly in health or social care, and have successfully supported project delivery. Additionally, they are skilled in establishing and implementing internal processes and procedures.
* The candidate has a strong background in policy development, including expertise in specification development, and has worked within a Project Management Office (PMO). They possess experience in managing risks and reporting effectively, as well as supporting the preparation and presentation of briefing papers and correspondence for senior management.
Education
* Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
* Project management experience/training and or qualification.
Skills
* The individual possesses a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and intermediate keyboard skills, along with the ability to build and maintain respectful relationships with people at all levels. They are skilled in prioritizing their own work effectively while also directing the activities of others. Additionally, they demonstrate a continued commitment to improving their skills and acquiring new competencies in various areas of work.
