About the role Permanent Full Time Position Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the academy's policies under the direction of the Headteacher. Be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well. We would be delighted to accept applications from teachers early in their careers but we are also looking to add some experience to our middle leadership team. We are particularly interested in developing our non core subject leadership capacity but first and foremost, we want teachers who can excite our children with their expert teaching. Teach pupils in their assigned groups according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the pupils in school and elsewhere. Assess, record and report attendance, progress, development and attainment of assigned pupils and keep such records as required by the school’s systems. Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils, incorporating the National Curriculum requirements and in line with the curriculum policies of the school. Facilitate, support and monitor the overall progress and development of a designated group of pupils. Develop a stimulating learning environment and rich educational experience that provides students with a range of learning opportunities and allows them to fulfil their potential. Contribute to the development of the school curriculum, teaching materials, methods of teaching and assessment and their review. Ensure a high quality learning experience for pupils, which meets internal and external quality standards.
