My client based in St Ives Cambridgeshire are currently recruiting for a Sales Development Representative to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

The SDR will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads. This role is essential in supporting the company's growth by setting up appointments for the sales team and sector leads and collaborating with marketing to ensure successful execution of project-based initiatives. The SDR will play a key role in maintaining a clean prospect database and will be skilled at navigating past gatekeepers to reach decision-makers.
Overall Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation: Proactively seek out and identify new sales opportunities in existing or new sectors through outbound calls, research, and other proven outreach methods.
2. Sales Funnel Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of the sales funnel by qualifying leads and passing them to the sales team with appropriate context and information.
3. Appointment Setting: Generate new sales appointments for the sales team to close deals.
4. Using the Existing CRM: Efficiently use CRM tools to track, manage, and report on prospects, ensuring all interactions are logged and follow-up actions are assigned and completed in a timely manner.
5. Database Management: Clean and maintain prospect databases to ensure accuracy and up-to-date contact information.
6. Gatekeeper Navigation: Utilise strong communication skills to get past gatekeepers and reach the correct decision-makers in target businesses.
7. Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to plan, support and drive project-based marketing opportunities.
8. Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular updates on lead generation activities and progress to management and sector leads.
