We have an amazing opportunity for a UX-leaning Product Designer, who is looking to use their skills and experience to make a positive social impact.
Futureheads is partnered with an inspirational non-profit organisation with a rich history of providing support to individuals, local communities and public health services across the UK.
The charity has just commenced a major digital transformation programme, with the goal of creating new ‘tech-for-good’ products to further facilitate their incredible mission. They’ve been assembling a talented internal digital team to deliver this work, and they’re now looking to make their first in-house Product Design hire.
As a Product Designer, you will lead the design of a greenfield web platform; shaping new solutions, user journeys, and experiences for both the consumers and businesses that will interact with it. Furthermore, you’ll contribute towards the development of their design system, validate new ideas and build out shared components that will serve as the standard for new products to come.
This role will suit a Product Designer that leans towards UX, as you'll be owning, planning and delivering all user research and testing. And as the charity’s first permanent in-house designer, it’s crucial that you’re able to work autonomously and can bring the breadth of experience to implement ‘best practice’ for UCD, ultimately establishing the benchmark / processes for design and research across the org.
Requirements:
✅4+ years of end-to-end Product Design experience, with a focus on web.
✅An up-to-date portfolio, showcasing your experience of designing complex but highly user-centric platforms.
✅Able to leverage a broad range of user research & testing methodologies.
✅B2C and B2B product experience (preferably multi-sided platforms).
✅Strong understanding of user-centered design and interaction design principles.
✅Supported the development of new design systems.
✅Great collaborator, but also able to work autonomously as designer.
✅Purpose driven, with a track record and/or passion for driving ‘tech-for-good’ initiatives.
✅Previous non-profit experience would be beneficial.
If you’re an experienced Product Designer or UX Designer that’s looking for a new purpose-driven role, then please apply with an up-to-date CV & portfolio.
