This is your chance to join a leading defence company What You Can Expect Location – New Malden Salary – £89,000 Industry – Consulting Work type – Permanent Main Responsibilities as an Industrial Infrastructure Engineering Lead Infrastructure Design and Integration: Spearheaded the creation of robust ICS infrastructure solutions for PMS, ensuring seamless IT/OT integration, high availability, and compliance with rigorous defence standards for surface ships and submarines. This included secure data exchange across operational and enterprise systems. Systems and Environment Management: Managed the full lifecycle of IT assets, optimising resource utilisation while maintaining Windows Server domains, Red Hat Linux environments, and virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) to support scalable development and secure ICS solutions testing. Networking and Security: Designed and maintained advanced industrial networking systems (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP), implementing defence-compliant security protocols to safeguard mission-critical applications in high-security environments. Cybersecurity and Compliance: Implemented best practices for vulnerability assessments, patch management, and regulatory compliance, adhering to standards such as ISO 27001 and IEC 62443. Worked with cybersecurity teams to proactively mitigate risks and secure both IT and OT systems. Automation and Reporting: Developed automated monitoring and reporting solutions to track system health, network performance, and cybersecurity posture. Delivered actionable insights to stakeholders through detailed system performance and compliance reports. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Must be eligible for SC Clearance IT/OT Integration Expertise: Comprehensive experience in bridging IT and OT environments, with hands-on knowledge of ICS systems such as SCADA and PLCs in industrial settings. IT Asset Management Proficiency: Skilled in overseeing IT assets, including inventory tracking, system updates, and full lifecycle management of hardware and software. Windows Server & Linux Administration: Deep expertise in configuring, securing, and maintaining Windows Server domains and Red Hat Linux systems in high-security, complex environments. Virtualisation Specialist: Advanced knowledge of virtualisation platforms, including VMware and Hyper-V, with a proven ability to deploy, manage, and optimise virtual infrastructures tailored for industrial applications. Cybersecurity & Vulnerability Management: Strong capabilities in applying cybersecurity best practices, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring the security of IT and OT systems through remediation and patch management. Industrial Networking Knowledge: Proficient in industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus, with direct experience designing, implementing, and securing control system networks. Experience in Regulated Industries: Extensive background in regulated sectors like defence, energy, and critical infrastructure, with a thorough understanding of industry compliance and security standards.
