We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Officer / Advisor to manage and process all payroll-related activities within the organisation. You will ensure the accurate and timely payment of salaries, process statutory payments, court orders, starters, leavers, and changes. You will play a vital role in supporting the payroll team and manager while overseeing pensions administration, preparing both standard and ad-hoc reports, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Main Responsibility
* Manage and process all aspects of payroll, including statutory payments, court orders, starters, leavers, and changes.
* Ensure the accurate and prompt payment of salaries in accordance with company policies and regulations.
* Provide support to the payroll team and manager, ensuring smooth operation of payroll activities.
* Administer pensions in line with statutory requirements and company guidelines.
* Produce standard and ad-hoc reports using iTrent and Business Objects to provide data analysis and insights.
* Respond to payroll queries promptly (within a 3-day SLA).
* Perform manual calculations for holiday pay, redundancy pay, and tax adjustments.
* Reconcile payroll figures and balance monthly payroll records.
* Administer end-of-year payroll and pension processes, including processing forms such as P45, P60, and P11D.
* Process variable hours, mileage, and expenses from other systems into iTrent.
The Ideal Candidate
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven experience in a payroll administration role.
* Strong knowledge of payroll processes.
* Up to date with current UK legislation.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Adaptable to fast-paced change.
* Proficiency in using HR/Payroll software e.g., iTrent, Optima, Business Objects.
* Strong ability to work autonomously with efficient management of workload.
