The main purpose of the Payroll Clerk role is to support the Senior Payroll Clerk to ensure the effective day to day operation of the West Mercia Police payrolls to ensure that individuals are paid correctly and on time. To provide advice on police regulations, police staff terms and conditions and HMRC PAYE tax rules. To support the Senior payroll Clerk to meet statutory and other reporting requirements placed on the PCC and Chief Constable by other organisations including the HMRC.
