What is a Technical Project Manager? As a Technical Project Manager, you will be expected to be hands on and solution focused. Both a strong communicator and collaborator. Our product developers and existing project manager will be looking to learn from your strong project management skills and therefore you will need to be keen on developing others. As part of the Innovation Team you will be responsible for the efficient, robust delivery of customer led NPD projects across Sports Nutrition and Pre-Mix including other value add/turnkey end to end product solutions. You will form and lead cross functional project teams involving operations, quality, regulatory, marketing and finance. You will work alongside the commercial lead who owns the relationship with the customer to implement projects scoped and delivered with rigour to deliver right first time solutions. Key responsibilities for this role include: Lead the implementation of a light touch fit for purpose governance process which must be built with inputs from all functions who will be either accountable or responsible for the delivery of tasks within the governance process. Assure that the tools created to support the governance process are robust and fit for purpose. Lead the training of specific tools including the NPD brief, risk management and mitigation, project workbook. Manage the delivery of both simple and complex projects for both the Sports Nutrition and other value add/turnkey projects. Own the one version of the truth project tracker responsibilities for this include, all projects and tasks are transferred to the tracker and that is updated and reviewed a minimum of once a week with the wider Innovation function. Suggest any improvements to make the tracker more simple, easier to use and review. Assure that all projects that you are responsible for delivering are robustly scoped and reviewed against the agreed commercial/strategic criteria to confirm GO/NO GO decision. Lead cross functional project kick off meeting and core project team meetings which should take place either weekly or fortnightly depending on the pace and complexity of the project. Complete risk session with the core project team to create risk log and mitigation plan. Assure that the project risk log is maintained and updated on a fortnightly basis over the project life cycle. Create project timelines with inputs from wider cross functional team hold session to confirm project timeline with the team and review critical path. Assure that the project team are bought in and committed to the delivery of the agreed project timeline. Assure that outputs, actions and decisions are accurately and effectively documented and cascaded in a timely manner post project meetings. Assure that the project team are held accountable for project delivery. Provide weekly updates as to project progress outlining any risks and the agreed mitigation. Support with and for some projects lead sku set up. Support with and for some projects lead the packaging sourcing and creation of the packaging assembly method for handover with production. Travel: This role involves up to 25% travel Does this sound like you? Experienced in leading complex projects and managing stakeholders. Excellent presentation and communication skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Experienced in food manufacturing processes and commercialisation. Demonstrated performance in developing and commercialisation new processes/products in collaboration with quality, legal, regulatory, engineering, and commercial functions. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in fast paced situations with the personal leadership to influence and positively motivate self and peers. Educated to degree level in a relevant Science or Business discipline. Must be able to reference and demonstrate relevant Project Management experience.
