Purpose Of The Role This is a new business development role targeting the OEM sector throughout Yorkshire and the Northeast. To successfully identify and sell the OEM solutions strategy to qualifying key OEM opportunities, ensuring the desired level of sales and profitability are achieved in line with the Company’s goals and objectives. Promote the complete range of products and services across all areas of the company’s preferred partners. Work closely with all members of the OEM Solutions and external sales team and Service Centres supporting when and where required. Liaising with colleagues, Regional Sales Leaders, Account Managers, Service Centre Managers, Product Sales Specialists and Technology Partners. Produce regular reports on status of business development accounts. Communicate and interface with Service Centres and departments on commercial issues with a focus on continuous improvement. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers. Take responsibility for sales and profitability of own set of accounts. Experience and Skills: A good standard of education is required, particularly in Maths & English. Ideally the role holder will be qualified to at least ONC level in Electrical Engineering or industry alternative. Influencing and motivational skills are critical requirements for the role. Good day to day planning capabilities are an essential for satisfactory performance Technical interests, specialist skills and experience are important for long term success Previous experience within the OEM sector, commercial / business to business sales environment is essential. Extensive knowledge of Automation and Control products The ability to form friendly and trusting relationships will play an important part of the role.
