About The Role Water Treatment Works Operative Full time 36 hours per week Salary from £24,946 to £31,182 (depending on experience) Based in Chigwell, Essex IG7 We ’ re open to discussing flexible working About The Role We now have an opportunity for a Treatment Works Operative to join the team who operate & maintain water treatment assets across our Essex Water Supply area. Reporting to a Water Supply Team Manager, you will be part of a team who are responsible for the maintenance of our Water Treatment Works which are key to providing excellent quality drinking water to our customers every time they turn on their taps This role offers training and support to the successful candidate to ensure you have the knowledge and industry experience to develop. This means we’re seeking someone with transferrable skills which would allow them to develop into this position. Our Water Treatment Works Operatives, undertake a varied role, from water sample checks to sand sample analysis and maintenance of the site, assets, vehicles, and plant machinery. The work environment is also varied, you will be mostly outdoors (whatever the weather) and will sometimes work at heights or in confined spaces. About You We’re are seeking candidates that are enthusiastic and self-motivated to support their team in managing a varied workload. Safety is a focus of everything that we do which means that having an awareness of health and safety and the impact it has is an important part of this role. This role provides you with the opportunity to work outdoors during all weathers, engaging with customers. Basic awareness of water treatment would be helpful and previous experience of driving heavy plant would be preferred, however, we will provide support and training to the successful candidate.
