Female Support Workers Location : Ashford area Salary: £14.20 per hour (Time and a half on bank holidays) Contract : Permanent 15-hour contract comprises 3 x 5-hour day shifts each week, including some weekend shifts. The Role Due to the clients brain injury and learning disabilities, she requires support with daily living, including arranging and accessing appointments, partaking in social activities and outings, menu planning and preparation and generally building skills to live as independently as possible in her own home. On behalf of the client, the organisation is recruiting for female part-time support workers. You will join a new team providing support to a 57-year-old female with an acquired brain injury and learning disabilities who lives in her own home in the TN26 area of Kent. The Support Worker would work alongside live-in carers, providing daytime support directly to the client so that she can access the community and carry out her daily living activities. The organisation does not directly employ support workers, but they recruit them on behalf of their clients. Their dedicated and experienced case managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of the support team. The organisation provides access to mandatory training and brain injury-specific training. Support Requirements: Hours of work will include a mix of weekdays, weekends and bank holidays Must be licenced to drive an automatic car Support includes assistance with personal care when requested by the client Up-to-date DBS at enhanced level required the employer will pay if you need to apply for one Skills and Qualifications Passion and commitment to the role so that you can get to know their client and make a difference in her daily life.
