Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering efforts and act as the primary liaison between our business teams and ServiceNow developers. In this role, you will translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, ensuring the successful implementation of ServiceNow solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer interactions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and project coordination skills, with experience in IT service management (ITSM) and business process analysis.
As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with our ServiceNow developers and internal IT teams, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive requirements gathering, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and contributing to the overall success of projects and stakeholder satisfaction.
While prior experience as a ServiceNow Business Analyst is preferred, it is not required. If you have a strong analytical mindset, a passion for problem-solving, and a proven ability to gather and translate business requirements effectively, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify, capture, and help to resolve business process pain points by working to streamline processes to create optimal end-user and customer experiences.
* Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for critical business applications.
* Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, process flows, and technical specifications for ServiceNow developers.
* Assist in ensuring that processes, solutions, and/or automations created are measurable and can derive success metrics from key business processes.
* Collaborate with ServiceNow development teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
* Lead and facilitate requirement-gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping sessions.
* Assist in defining and optimizing business processes that leverage ServiceNow solutions, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
* Support testing efforts by developing test cases, validating functionality, and managing user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders.
* Provide training and documentation for end users and internal teams on new ServiceNow features and updates.
* Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
* Stay current on ServiceNow best practices, new modules, and industry trends to recommend enhancements and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working as a liaison between lines of business and corporate IT.
* Familiar with Customer Relationship Management Sales Processes, Product Management & Development Processes, Project Management Processes, IT Service Management Processes.
* Familiar with Agile or Scrum Methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or equivalent.
* ServiceNow experience working with some or all of the following ServiceNow modules: ITSM, CSM, ITOM, SOM, SPM, GRC/IRM, HAM/SAM, SecOps.
* Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management, or other project management software.
* Proficiency in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation methodologies.
* Basic understanding of ServiceNow or similar platforms.
* Experience with Agile methodologies, including writing user stories and working in Scrum teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
* Ability to create workflow diagrams, process maps, and functional specifications.
* Hands-on experience with ServiceNow reporting and dashboards is a plus.
* Familiarity with ServiceNow development concepts such as scripting, integrations, and data structures is a plus.
* Experience working with ITSM or ITIL frameworks.
