Youth Justice, Prevention Officer, Liverpool
Pay rate: £23.52 per hour
Contract role: City wide
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Youth Justice Prevention Officer in the Merseyside area. This role involves working in a newly expanded Prevention Team with young people, parents, and carers in school settings as part of a multi-disciplinary team to improve young people’s engagement with education, enhance attendance, and support young people on their educational journey.
Your role will be to support young people in improving their school attendance and their overall engagement in their education placements. The team collaborates with stakeholders including schools, safeguarding teams, health care providers, CAMHS, and the Police to achieve the best outcomes for children in educational settings. This role provides the opportunity to develop creative, strengths-based approaches to working with children and families.
The successful candidate will receive regular supervision and support to enhance skills, knowledge, and experience in working with additional support needs within educational settings. You will be based within the school but will also be expected to support young people and their families within the community. You may also work from home at times where the demands of your duties allow. Since you will be working within communities, it is essential that you are a car driver or have access to appropriate transport to travel citywide. Please note, within Liverpool Targeted Services, this role is known as 'Targeted Services Officer'.
