Our client, a Tier one contractor, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their utility division in Romford, working on Gas projects. This opportunity will compensate the most successful candidate with working in a close-knit friendly team, flexibility on hours, life insurance, and a salary up to £60,000 for the right candidate. The Quantity Surveyor will be involved in tendering, cost planning, measurement, valuation, contract administration, and final accounts.

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
1. Preparation of bills of quantities, tender documentation, and contract documents.
2. Measurement and valuation of works including cost analysis and cost planning.
3. Contract administration, including variations, claims, and negotiations.
4. Preparation of interim and final accounts.
5. Preparation and presentation of cost reports to senior management.
6. Evaluation of tender submissions and preparation of tender reports.
7. Preparation of budget estimates and cost plans.
8. Assistance with the preparation and submission of progress payment applications.
Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
1. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field would be ideal.
2. A minimum of 4 years' experience in civil engineering / utilities as a quantity surveyor.
3. Excellent knowledge of civil engineering contracts.
4. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost estimating software.
9. UK Driving Licence.
