The school are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher to join their team full-time, starting on the 9th of December. This exciting role involves teaching A-Level Sociology and Criminology while delivering engaging lessons in Key Stage 3 Religious Studies, Citizenship, and Sociology.
As a teacher in this role, you will:
* Deliver High-Quality Lessons: Plan, prepare, and teach inspiring and engaging lessons in Sociology, Criminology, Religious Studies, and Citizenship tailored to student's abilities.
* Support Student Progress: Assess, track, and monitor student achievement, providing targeted support to help them reach their full potential.
* Foster a Positive Environment: Establish a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn.
* Promote Critical Thinking: Encourage students to explore and critically engage with sociological and criminological concepts, helping them to develop analytical and reflective skills.
* Collaborate with Staff: Work effectively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, share resources, and ensure best practices are implemented.
* Encourage Personal Development: Support students in becoming thoughtful, informed, and responsible citizens through engaging Religious Studies and Citizenship lessons.
* Participate in School Life: Take part in school-wide activities, parent evenings, and staff meetings, contributing to the school’s vibrant community ethos.
The ideal candidate will:
* Be a fully qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
* Have expertise and experience in teaching Sociology and Criminology at A Level.
* Be confident delivering lessons in Religious Studies, Citizenship, and Sociology to Key Stage 3 students.
* Have a strong understanding of the curriculum and an ability to adapt teaching to suit diverse learning needs.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and a passion for their subject areas.
* Be organised, committed, and enthusiastic about supporting young people’s academic and personal growth.
