Main duties of the job
* Foster recovery through empowerment of service users and carers by involving the service user and carer in the planning of their care establishing and maintaining consistent supportive relationships, which encourage increased self-determination and responsibility for service users and their care.
* Offer a range of evidence based interventions and risk management approaches enabling the service user and carers to reduce and manage symptoms and high-risk behaviour.
* Be proactive, innovative and creative in delivering care, enabling the facilitation of service users recovery.
* Engage service users and carers in relapse prevention and crisis/contingency plans, providing interventions that maximizes the service users ability to resolve crisis and prevents hospitalization.
* Facilitate early discharge from both inpatients and the CRHT Team by providing regular, formal reviews.
* Deliver a flexible and responsive service through practice that is dictated by service users/carers needs.

Shift Patterns: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

What you'll need as qualification/experience:
* Registered Mental Health Nurse
* MELPS (Mentoring and Enabling in a clinical setting)
* ENB 998 or equivalent teaching and assessing in clinical practice qualification.
* Minimum of 2 years post registration experience
* Previous experience of working in a community team
* Crisis Resolution
* Clinical assessment of physical, psychological and social care
* Offering support to carers/families in relation to distressing circumstances
* Experience of Forensic cases
* Recovery Model
* Social Inclusion
* Working knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983, Care Act 2014
* Care Programmed Approach
* MDT framework
* Working in collaboration with other agencies

Person Specification
Experience
* A minimum of 6 months paid experience as Duty Nurse in an Acute Hospital environment within the last 3 years
* NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
* Restraint and ILS Training completed within the last 12 months (desirable)
