About the role:
Our Next Step program is tailored for school leavers who are eager to build skills and prepare for the workforce. We assist participants to gain essential skills, qualifications, experience, and independence to reach their career and personal goals in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
We are seeking two permanent part-time Support Workers who are dedicated, positive, enthusiastic, inclusive, and customer-focused.
Based at our Fairy Meadow and Shellharbour offices, the successful candidates will join a team who are dedicated to helping school leavers set goals and implement strategies to become job-ready.
These part-time roles support the Next Step Facilitator across 18 hours per week. Shifts include group sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and one-on-one sessions with participants on Thursday and Friday.
The successful candidates will commence their new role mid-January 2025.
What we are looking for:
1. Experience with Person-Centred Planning to identify personalised employment pathways.
2. Previous experience in a Teacher's Aide or Job Coach role will be highly regarded.
3. Prior experience of working with young people with mental health disabilities is especially regarded.
4. Skills in building and sustaining relationships and networks within the community, including schools, employment services, business support services, and other organisations.
5. Strong communication skills to build rapport with families, carers, and their support networks.
6. Ability to serve as a key creative resource for our participants by developing and presenting fresh content and ideas on a weekly basis.
7. Maintain accurate records and provide information for reporting purposes.
8. Ensure the safety and well-being of participants and employees.
9. Valid Driver Licence and working rights checks including an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment.

The hourly salary for the part-time role is between $33.41 and $35.51 plus superannuation (pro-rata).
