Job Description
Finance Analyst - Product Cost Reporting & Forecasting
Derby - Hybrid (3 days on site per week)
Full time
Why Rolls-Royce?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join the Product Cost Finance team. Reporting to the CRISP Finance Manager - Product Cost, you will be part of a team of finance analysts partnering with multiple stakeholders in the cost arena across the organisation, ensuring timely and accurate updates are made within the CRISP executive reporting tool in line with correct procedures as a key part of forecasting for Original Equipment and Spares Engines for the next five year period.
Product Cost is a key metric for the Civil Aerospace business and the Product Cost Finance team sits at the heart of the cost landscape supporting both the various engine programmes and our Manufacturing Business Units in their product cost journey. By maintaining the CRISP system, you will add value by capturing and managing financial opportunities and hazards directly affecting the unit costs of parts, through the lifecycle of initiatives from an idea for a cost reduction/increase to the contractual conception and realisation of the cost implications.
Work with us and we'll welcome you into an inclusive culture, one that invests in your continuous learning and development, and gives you access to a wide breadth and depth of experience. We offer excellent development, a competitive salary and exceptional benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance and employee discounts.
Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum, we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
* To carry out CRISP training and instil the value of recording cost reduction/increase initiatives to the wider population of stakeholders that we support, providing adhoc sessions on our tools and the data available to them to assist with managing product cost.
* Manage workload in accordance with the SLA or manage customers' expectations where this is not feasible to do so, particularly around busy periods such as forecasting.
* Responsible for adhering to the appropriate controls ensuring the relevant authorisations are obtained and audit trails are logged.
* Responsible for ensuring a regular drumbeat of data integrity checks are carried out and maintain a low level of issues within CRISP to ensure we have robust data to support the relevant processes.
* Ensure all process documentation is complete and up to date with any necessary process or governance changes captured accordingly.
* Continuously review existing processes and recommend and support areas for improvement in order to strive for lean and simplicity.
* Support and deliver complete, accurate and timely ad-hoc analysis where required both for internal use within the Cost Information Team or for the wider cost community.
