Support the Building team to deliver excellent service and ensuring that the building engineering systems are safe, fit for purpose and enhance patient care. This will include: Planned preventative building maintenance Building reactive and emergency works Minor building improvement works under £5k Building infrastructure Backlog building maintenance Specialist building contracts Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification. Support the team leader in the leadership, operational and day to day management, and communication, within the building team. Support the delivery of a high performing Building team to deliver corporate aims, objectives and aspirations of the Directorate and the Trust. Responsible for the Quality of Building works undertaken ensuring that all Building works (including external contractors) are fully auditable, and safely delivered within statutory compliance. Compile and regularly review all risks ascertaining to the building infrastructure, leading to the delivery of safe practice and measures to minimise the impact of Building risks. Be an effective member of the building team and support the delivery of a highly effective, quality and responsive building service within budget. Carry out services and work activities on all building installations, ensuring compliance with relevant current legislation, NHS guidance, health and safety, standards, codes of practice, Trust policies, and regulations. Be responsible for the recording of, monitoring and review of the building planned preventative maintenance services, and responsive maintenance service. Work with building contractors and specialist services personnel working on the building infrastructure, ensuring quality outputs and control. Deliver backlog and specialist services maintenance programmes with minimum disruption to patient services. Ensure the maintenance of all building records including as-fitted drawings, maintenance manuals, statistical returns, EFM information, performance reports, controlled documents, logbooks, and updated policies and procedures.
