Short-Term Business Visitor Lead We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to lead the implementation and on-going management of GSK’s new Short-Term Business Visitor (STBV) program. This newly created role will be responsible for working cross-functionally to ensure a smooth implementation of the program including policy development and working with our external partner. The successful candidate will play a key role in decision making, driving efficiency and risk mitigation. Once the global implementation is complete, this role will manage the on-going engagement with our external partner and internal stakeholders and provide expatriate tax advice as needed. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to short-term visitors and expatriates, ensuring alignment with global guidance. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the central point of contact for tax, legal, finance, HR, and external tax advisors, ensuring smooth coordination of business visitors' movements and tax and immigration obligations. Tracking and Reporting: Implement and manage systems for tracking business visitors, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of tax-related data to both UK HMRC and other relevant authorities. Policy Development: Develop and refine policies and procedures related to short-term business visitors, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose, compliant, and globally consistent. Advisory Role: Provide guidance to internal stakeholders, including HR, finance, and leadership teams, on complex expatriate tax issues, business visitor trends, and regulatory changes. Training and Development: Educate and train HR teams, line managers, and business units on STBV compliance, expatriate tax obligations, and best practices for managing short-term assignments. Basic Qualifications & Skills: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Experience in Global Mobility and Expatriate Tax: several years of experience in global mobility, with a focus on expatriate tax and short-term business visitors. Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of tax regulations related to expatriates. Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives, meeting deadlines while balancing multiple priorities. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess risks, provide practical solutions, and translate complex tax and immigration concepts into clear advice. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex concepts to non-experts. System Savvy: Experience with tracking tools and systems for monitoring business visitors and expatriates. Qualifications: CTA, ACA, ACCA, or a related qualification in tax or global mobility is highly desirable.
