The post holder will be passionate about working with people from diverse groups and communities in different ways. A primary function of the community engagement team is to maintain consistent communication with a diverse array of community partners, organisations, and service users. This necessitates the creation and management of various media products tailored to the needs of our communities. The post holder will have drive and work in an innovative way to reach different groups and communities. To achieve this, it is essential to have a communications officer within the team who possesses a comprehensive understanding of the preferred communication methods of our diverse communities. This role also involves active engagement within the communities themselves.
Main Duties of the Job
1. The post holder will support the delivery of the team's ambitions to engagement and inclusion.
2. Assist in the creation and delivery of the Community Engagement and patient experience Communications Plan using a range of communication channels to encourage two-way dialogue including production of a regular newsletter.
3. Build relationships with local communities and identify inspiring and appropriate approaches for communicating with our communities.
4. Support the management of our Community Partner database.
5. Bring a diversity and inclusion and community engagement perspective to the communications team.
6. Work closely with different teams to ensure that communications developed are aligned with the team's principles.
7. Support the team in developing communications including creating content such as posters, editing, and proofreading.
8. Work with the project leads to deliver different projects.
9. The role will involve some evening and weekend work.

* Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
Experience
* Experience of MS Office applications
* Experience of undertaking administrative functions with minimum supervision
* Experience of working in a high-pressure environment
* Experience of working to deadlines
* Experience of using website content management systems
* Experience of working with the public
* Experience of working with personnel at all levels
* Ability to communicate complex information to a range of stakeholders using a range of different communication techniques.

* Literate in English and numerate
