About the role:
An award-winning rural destination in the Surrey Hills has grown over the decades into a popular site featuring a variety of attractions, including a bustling Café that welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. The team is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager for the newly refurbished Café, which offers a vibrant, family-friendly environment. With no night shifts, this role supports the Café Manager to deliver outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced yet balanced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver outstanding customer service with attention to detail
* Assist with team training and development
* Oversee daily front-of-house duties, including taking orders, serving, preparing drinks, and maintaining cleanliness
* Manage allergen awareness and safety protocols
* Support a high standard of presentation and compliance
* Take sole charge when the Café Manager is unavailable
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience: Minimum 1 year in a similar role and barista experience
* Skills: Strong communication, proactive attitude, and professional manner under pressure
* Attributes: Reliable, punctual, and passionate about hospitality
