Job Description
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Manager will include:
* Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
* Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
* Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
* Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Supervise, mentor, and develop staff members
* Work closely with team members to assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasting
* Implement and monitor internal controls
* Perform ad hoc project-related duties as required
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Manager should have:
* Previous experience in an all-round Accounts role with experience managing both AP and AR processes.
* A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent leadership abilities to oversee the accounting team
