Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in young children's lives? We are currently seeking qualified Early Years Teaching Assistants to support various primary schools across Barrow-in-Furness and surrounding areas.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment with enthusiastic colleagues and eager learners. Working with young children requires enthusiasm, energy, a positive attitude, and the ability to support children as they develop social, emotional, and mental skills. You should be open to outdoor activities, sensory play, and messy play. These pupils will still be working at an EYFS level, moving into a reception curriculum, and may also be learning to toilet train and adapt to school life.
We have a range of roles available from full-time to part-time, all temporary and term-time only, within the hours of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Pay is between [amount] per day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities as an early years teaching assistant.
* Provide continuous development opportunities for all pupils.
* Encourage curiosity in learning.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.
* Monitor and assess children's progress and development.
* Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure cohesive early years education.
* Build strong relationships with children and their families.
Ideal Candidate:
* Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
* Previous experience as an Early Years Assistant in a nursery or early years setting.
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and promoting their well-being and development.
