The role and school
This respectful primary school in the Middleton area of Rochdale have an ambitious vision of embedding pupils voice into the curriculum with teaching and learning activities that involves pupils in the decision-making about their life, health and wellbeing. The school are looking for empowering and collaborative higher level teaching assistants who will ensure that the pupils are active contributors in the classroom and feel that their opinions and voices are heard in the school and the wider community. The self-efficient and flexible higher level teaching assistant may be required to work support in the classroom as a one-to-one or in small groups, be required and prepared to teach lessons to all year groups and build relationships with the pupils to ensure that they feel safe and cared for. As a higher level teaching assistant, your additional duties may involve covering classes, managing planning, preparing and assessment (PPA) time. The school is led by a dynamic and inclusive leadership team and provides generous opportunities to promote your personal and professional development.
Requirements
To be considered for the Primary Teacher, you will:
Holds a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant Certificate
Have school-based experiences in Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
Be flexible and adaptable in teaching various subjects and year groups when needed.
Follow provided lesson plans and ensure they are well-executed, within the successful learning environment.
