About the Role...
We have an opportunity for a dedicated individual to provide precise and timely live data for all South American and Japanese racing services. In this key role, you will collaborate with suppliers, colleagues, and customers to guarantee the accuracy and timely delivery of content and services from PA.
Your role will extend beyond data provision; you will also play a crucial part in training, support, and resource planning and take charge of service escalation between 10pm and 8am, ensuring the reliability of our operations.
Shift Pattern: 5x 8hr shifts between 10pm and 10am, Mon-Sun depending on scheduling requirements – this role can be performed remotely.
What you will be doing...
1. Pre-Race Operations: Efficiently manage pre-race data collection, preparation, and distribution.
2. Live Betting and Results Processing: Handle live betting and results processing for overnight racing services.
3. Customer Interaction: Respond to Racing Customer Services and customer queries with flexibility and professionalism.
4. Supplier Coordination: Liaise with third-party suppliers and data providers to ensure seamless collaboration.
5. Live Data Management: Effectively communicate all live data issues affecting to Shift Leaders and Operations Manager promptly.
6. Customer Impact Awareness: Understand downstream customer impact and prioritise the immediate escalation of live data errors.
7. Escalation Leadership (10pm-8am): Take a lead role in the escalation process during the critical hours, ensuring issues are escalated in line with procedures. Provide detailed Incident Reports and summaries to Shift Leaders & Operations Manager.
8. Process Improvement: Collaborate with Shift Leaders to continually improve processes and procedures related to the services you manage.
9. Training and Onboarding: Assist with training and onboarding of new/current staff.
10. Horse Racing Coordination: Oversee Horse Racing coordination, including publishing advisory notifications, checking, validating, and analysing live data, liaising with data providers, adhering to daily check-sheets, and providing support to colleagues where necessary.

We are seeking a candidate with an understanding of key betting concepts, demonstrating the ability to form and maintain betting markets. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration across the team. The successful candidate will showcase strong self-organisation and prioritisation skills, thriving under pressure while adhering to targets.
The role demands a keen understanding and adherence to operational processes, and the flexibility to work within a demanding 24/7, 365 days a year racing schedule.
