Position: Sales Specification Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Specification Manager to join our fantastic team of sales professionals within our Lighting Intelligence business unit. The main focus of the role will be to sell the company's different lighting control solutions. You will visit existing customers and build personal relationships, as well as proactively seek new projects. You will ensure a simple and well-planned sales process with a focus on the customer. Through networking and contacts, you will drive sales by attracting new customer groups and identifying unprocessed markets, such as real estate owners.
What you'll be doing:
1. Identify and build relationships with Lighting Designers and M&E Consultants.
2. Identify and build relationships with electrical contractors, wholesalers, lighting designers, investors, contractors, and tenants.
3. Actively seek new projects and identify key decision-makers with the goal of increasing sales within the North West area.
4. Develop and build lighting management activities in major Northern building projects.
5. Embrace modern sales techniques, submitting all information into our CRM system with project logs, call planning, key visit notes, and quotations.
6. Advocate Lighting Intelligence solutions in a consultative manner.
7. Achieve agreed individual sales and profitability targets.
8. Identify and engage with M&E consultants to build a resilient specifications pipeline.
9. Promote Lighting Intelligence solutions using consultative selling techniques.
10. Engage directly with key influencers and business decision-makers to maximize chances of success.
11. Track projects from specification to order, through all stages, with each stakeholder.
12. Ensure timely communication with clients/representatives to ensure the smooth and profitable execution of lighting control projects.
13. Work with all project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with any third-party services.
14. Attend industry exhibitions as required, both in the UK and overseas.
15. Plan and conduct CPD accredited seminars with the support of the Marketing team.
What skills would be great in this role:
1. Proven experience and understanding of modern sales processes with a commercial understanding of tools, margins, and credit risk.
2. Good sales experience with a focus on technological fields such as lighting controls, lighting, HVAC, building management, or automation industry.
3. Demonstrate excellent sales and commercial experience where you have met or exceeded demanding sales targets.
4. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills that build collaboration.
5. Self-sufficient with initiative and drive, able to prioritize and take actions.
6. Confident and effective communicator, handles questions adeptly with influencing skills.
7. Ability to effectively present and influence individuals and groups at all levels.
8. Ability to translate and communicate key business priorities to support the development and execution of tactical sales programs and activities.
9. Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and value, internally and externally.
10. Flexible and agile, ability to adapt your approach and methods to maximize results.
11. Based in North West for relevant travel in those regions, and international travel when required.
12. Spoken and written fluency in English; an additional European language is desirable but not essential.
13. An understanding or background in lighting controls would be beneficial but is not essential.
Package Includes:
Base Salary + Sales Bonus + Car allowance
