Here at Havebury Housing, we are looking for an Asset Surveyor. You will be responsible for ensuring our stock is maintained to a high standard, is safe and meets all legislative requirements within the remit of the role. The works will include working alongside our Asset Surveyors in delivering our 5-year stock condition programme. You will be responsible for properties that require insurance/structural works.
We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.

Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities...
* Complete stock condition surveys for our housing stock in accordance with our policy and maintain accurate stock data on our asset management system (Keystone) to enable stock investment strategies to be developed and implemented
* Carry out Decent Homes and Health & Housing Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments on properties and make recommendations to ensure are compliant with our statutory and regulatory duties within the remit of the role
* Undertake SAP energy assessments on properties and assist with energy audits as required
* Support and monitor contractor’s delivery of structural/insurance solutions. Liaise with contractors to agree works, raise orders, and carry out pre/post work inspections
* Provide technical advice to the insurance team with building surveys and produce professional analysis, works schedule and report to support work being done
* Accurately diagnose, specify, order, supervise and manage technical solutions whilst considering all repairs needed
We are looking for someone who has...
* Relevant building or trade qualification (desirable)
* Technical knowledge of structural defects
* Experience of undertaking property surveys
* Experience in working with insurance/structural works
* Knowledge and application of relevant legislation to ensure compliance i.e Health and Safety at Work Action 1974, Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, CDM and HHSRS guidelines
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle during work hours
