The Role:
As Senior Environmental Health Officer, you can make your own powerful contribution to ensuring everyone in Westminster can thrive in a clean, safe and quiet city. You’ll play a vital role in helping junior colleagues develop their careers. You’ll take the lead on your own complex cases and mentor junior officers, using your own cases as live training opportunities.
In this role, you’ll draw on your specialist technical skills and knowledge to champion health and wellbeing across a range of high-profile cases. You’ll develop, implement and enforce environmental health policies and legislation through inspections, engagement, education, and enforcement. You’ll also support the Principal Officer in developing training and quality monitoring systems and get involved in projects to achieve process and service improvements.
About You:
To join us, you’ll need relevant qualifications and a proven track record of post-qualification experience. You are experienced in managing complex environmental health complaints and have excellent communication, relationship building, and conflict management skills. You take pride in providing exceptional customer service and delivering improvements to public health through education and intervention. You’ll thrive in our team by sharing your passion and experience with new officers and apprentices.
