We are now recruiting for a Production and Planning Graduate to assume responsibility for maintaining and supporting a forward-looking planning function across all of our products.
You will effectively interact with Team Leaders to ensure On-time delivery and ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to.
In addition to this, with training and support, you will be responsible for:
* Having involvement in order inputting, liaising with Sales on delivery dates, agreeing delivery dates prior to Order Input.
* Interacting with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply chain functions.
* Maximising the use of the order management system and ensuring visibility of all orders.
* Producing and publishing metrics as required.
* Maximising our Shipping Performance and achieving our On-time Delivery Goals.
* Taking ownership of, and planning products through Manufacturing Cells.
* Identifying critical items and issues, and resolving them.
* Investigating available capacity vs. likely load.
* Supporting function for team members in production and purchasing during absences.
In order to be successful in this role it’s essential that you have:
* A degree in a relevant subject alongside a strong willingness to learn.
* Excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Ability to make decisions within guidelines and taking responsibility for these.
* Ability to meet time frames and work under pressure.
* Good analytical and numeracy skills.
* Strong systems and Excel knowledge.
It would be great if you had:
* ERP planning experience.
* Production planning system experience.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX.
* Previous exposure working in a manufacturing and assembly organisation.
* Engineering competence in relation to machining and assembly and a suitable level of product and organisational familiarisation is a distinct advantage.
It would be great if you had a Business Administration qualification but this is not essential.
