At St. James's Place, we're seeking a dynamic and motivated Financial Crime Policy and Governance Analyst to shape the future of financial crime prevention in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment. In this pivotal role, you will lead the evolution of our Policy and Governance function, driving the analysis of regulatory developments, encouraging strong stakeholder relationships, and championing innovative research. Your work will ensure compliance, improve processes, and support the effective delivery of financial crime prevention policies across our global operations. What you'll be doing: Analyse and implement regulatory changes and industry best practices, advising the Group MLRO on actionable strategies. Lead and contribute to projects that embed financial crime prevention controls into new initiatives, systems, and services. Maintain and update critical procedural and guidance materials, ensuring clarity and compliance for all users, including Partners and administration hubs. Support the refinement of our Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Governance document and recommend updates to the Group FCP Policy. Drive a proactive approach to horizon scanning, collaborative research, and policy evolution. Manage FCP risk registers and business-wide risk assessments. Provide vital support for CRS/FATCA regulatory reporting, collaborating closely with tax authorities, and implementing updates from global regulatory bodies. Represent the Financial Crime Prevention Team (FCPT) in business change initiatives, ensuring key regulatory requirements are understood and applied. Build positive relationships across the business to promote compliance with financial crime prevention controls. What We're Looking For Deep understanding of financial crime legislation (e.g., ML Regulations, Proceeds of Crime Act, Bribery Act) and its application in a regulated environment. Proficiency in IT systems and operational processes supporting compliance. Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering, sanctions compliance, fraud prevention, bribery, tax evasion, and reporting standards like CRS and FATCA. Analytical approach with the ability to decipher sophisticated regulations and assess their impact. Outstanding communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders at all levels. Collaborative demeanour with an interest in building and maintaining positive relationships. Your work will influence key areas of our business, ensuring we stay ahead of regulatory changes and maintain our commitment to robust financial crime prevention. You'll play a vital role in safeguarding our reputation and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients and stakeholders.
