We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Buyer with expertise across multiple categories, including beauty, fashion, toys, confectionery, food, electronics, and alcoholic beverages. In this role, you will work closely with local suppliers, global partners, and internal international teams to deliver growth and enhance the customer experience. You will play a pivotal role in managing product assortments, optimizing commercial performance, and building strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring success for both our brands and landlord partners. Additionally you will be format coordinator following one of our concepts in the UK to drive continuous improvement and contribute to business development by supporting competitive tenders, providing critical insights and strategies to strengthen proposals. Key Responsibilities Buying & Category Management - Act as the primary contact for existing and new suppliers across multiple categories. - Develop and maintain optimal product assortments and pricing strategies. - Conduct brand performance analysis, negotiate margins, payment terms, and funding rebates. - Implement and analyse the success of promotions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. - Manage stock control and clearance activities in coordination with store managers. - Keep store teams informed of updates regarding ranges, pricing, and promotions, supporting problem-solving as needed. Format Coordination - Act as the primary contact for stakeholders involved in the stores format - Coordinate across departments to implement actions that improve store performance. - Conduct detailed store performance analysis and develop actionable plans to address opportunities and challenges. Marketing Coordination & Support - Work closely with the Marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities. - Coordinate with suppliers to create engaging local activations, including festivals and brand incentives. General Responsibilities - Support the Head of Buying & Marketing ahead of senior-level meetings and other ad hoc requests. - Build and maintain strong relationships with central teams, local brands, and key stakeholders. - Contribute to group sustainability targets, ensuring alignment with company and partner objectives for CSR policies. - Assist in the preparation of competitive tenders, providing insights on category trends, supplier negotiations, and commercial opportunities to enhance bid proposals. - Oversee the day-to-day commercial activity for your categories. Skills & Qualifications - Proven experience in buying or category management in a multi-category environment, with specific expertise in beauty, fashion, toys, confectionery, food, electronics, or alcoholic beverages. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from sales data. - Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful agreements. - Strong relationship-building abilities across internal teams, suppliers, and clients. - Commercially astute with a strategic mindset to evaluate high-level benefits. - Demonstrated ability to support business development initiatives, particularly in preparing competitive tenders. - Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines. - Familiarity with CSR initiatives and a commitment to sustainability goals.
