Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a "Good" Ofsted-rated primary school in Gosport starting January 2025. This long-term role focuses on providing tailored support to children with EHCPs, helping them achieve their educational goals through personalised care and attention.

This inclusive, coeducational primary school caters to children aged 4-11 and has a strong reputation for prioritising student welfare and academic achievement. Known for its supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the school fosters a positive and collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver individualised support to assigned students in line with their EHCP goals.
2. Provide assistance with daily activities and support the child's development in academic and personal areas.
3. Communicate progress and feedback to teachers and assist with assessments.
4. Support personal care needs as required.
5. Help the child stay engaged with the daily schedule, including facilitating regular breaks and activities.
Requirements:
1. Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within education is highly desirable.
2. A genuine passion for education and supporting children with additional needs.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
5. Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
6. Ability to maintain high expectations and build positive relationships with pupils.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
2. NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field is advantageous but not essential.
3. Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are desirable.
