Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and qualified tax professional to oversee the management of global tax compliance, tax accounting, and reporting obligations for their real estate funds. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of real estate funds with a gross asset value of £8 billion. The successful candidate will also provide tax support for new product launches, fund mergers, and other change initiatives.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Tax Manager, your role will be pivotal in managing the global tax compliance, accounting, and reporting obligations for our client's real estate funds. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely preparation and submission of various tax returns, liaising with HMRC and other overseas tax authorities, and providing technical assistance on Construction Industry Scheme matters. Your role will also involve acting as the primary liaison point with tax advisors, providing effective oversight and challenging external tax providers where necessary.
* Manage and coordinate the timely preparation and submission of annual UK partnership, trust, and corporation tax returns.
* Ensure distribution of tax vouchers to investors in line with agreed schedules.
* Oversee process for timely submission of VAT returns and payments to HMRC and overseas tax authorities.
* Assist with technical queries on Construction Industry Scheme matters.
* Liaise with HMRC as required to deal with routine compliance matters.
* Act as the primary liaison point with tax advisors.
* Provide effective oversight and challenge of external tax providers.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Tax Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in the field of taxation, particularly within the real estate sector. You should hold a CTA qualification along with solid post-qualification experience in either industry or practice. A strong understanding of UK property investments is essential, along with practical experience in dealing with UK tax compliance for property investment vehicles. Your strong organisational skills will enable you to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, while your excellent communication skills will ensure effective stakeholder management.

* Experience of dealing with UK tax compliance for property investment vehicles.
* Practical experience of tax reporting and accounting.
