Job Title: Casual Cleaner Salary: £11.44 per hour plus annual leave allowance Location: Milestones Museum, Basingstoke Hours: Ad-hoc including weekends Type of Contract: Job Description (JD): Casual Cleaner Can you help to make sure that our venue is clean, safe and up to the high standards that our visitors expect? As a Casual Cleaner at Milestones Museum, you’ll be part of a team responsible for ensuring that the museum is kept clean and well maintained. This will involve general cleaning, tidying our education rooms and ensuring that our visitor washroom facilities are kept clean. You’ll be responsible for upholding the highest standards and ensuring our venue is presented in its best possible light. You’ll need to closely follow various instructions and procedures, to make sure tasks are carried out correctly and that our venues are safe spaces for our visitors to spend time in. As a casual worker we’ll offer you shifts when we need additional staff, holiday and/or sickness cover. Our peak times are during school holidays, especially over the winter months and on rainy days. A bit about you Ideally, you will have a strong drive to ensure the cleaning standards at Milestones are the best they can be and appreciate the expectation placed on us to ensure our facilities are kept to a high standard thus ensuring that every visitor has an excellent day out You will be part of a team of cleaning staff and will be a supportive team player with a strong work ethic. Ability to work efficiently, always willing to jump in and lend a hand, but also happy to work on your own initiative when necessary. We will provide full PPE, cleaning equipment and uniform.
