As BPX continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Branch Manager to lead an established team responsible for all sales and operational activities, serving existing customers across the Staffordshire area. The Branch Manager will support the Regional Operations Manager in the growth and development at BPX Staffordshire. This vacancy is a full-time position on a permanent basis based at ST5 7UH. An understanding of the control and automation is preferred, although not essential, as a full suite of learning and development opportunities will be readily available. The main duties will include: Team leadership, ensuring high performance and employee engagement across the team. Take responsibility for all site-based activities and ensure adherence to all safety and quality measures. As required, manage recruitment activity within the branch across internal sales, warehouse operatives and delivery drivers. Strive to deliver first class customer service and adopt a 'right first time' approach throughout the full quote to order and delivery processes. Oversee all operational activities within the branch including purchasing, stock control and logistics. Meet or exceed the targets for the financial year across sales growth and margin improvement. Work in collaboration with business development team in the identification and development of sales opportunities with new and existing customers. Ensure quotations and orders are followed up and processed accurately and in a timely manner. Take ownership for effective stock management within the branch, ensuring the right balance between product availability and stock turn. Review customer accounts and carry out appropriate checks to reduce aged debt and invoices in query. Utilise all available systems and tools including ERP, CRM, Sales analysis and Control Reports. Continually upskill team through training and development plans. Maintain standards as per ISO9001 and ISO14001, in addition to maintaining best health and safety practices. Adhere to company policies as per BPX employee handbook. The skills required to be successful in this role are: Strong team leader who can recruit, retain and develop colleagues. Familiar with the market dynamics between manufacturers, distributors and customers. Strong relationship builder, communicator and team player. Customer centric, able to identify challenges and present solutions. Well organised and able to prioritise as required. Familiar with systems and able to produce reports across sales and operational activities.
