Our client leads an active lifestyle; therefore, a successful applicant will hold a full clean UK driver's licence to support their independence. Would you like to do live-in care every other week; 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off? Would you like a rewarding role in which you can support a client one-to-one in their own home? Come and join one of the UK's largest providers of complex care. Within the Care in the Home division, we support clients with complex care to live independently in their own homes. We'd like you to join us as a Live In Support Worker to support our brand new male client who lives near Derby in Morley, Derbyshire.
Main duties of the job
Meet the client: I like to be outdoors and I enjoy being busy. In my spare time, I like gaming, gardening, and socialising. I need a Support Worker who will promote my independence and prompt me with aspects of daily living. Rehabilitation and ongoing progress are important to me, so support with my physio, OT, and hydrotherapy sessions will be part of the role. I am looking for a support worker who is outgoing and enjoys conversation. What you'll be doing: This role is to support our brand new male client who has suffered a brain injury. The client is an independent young man who wears a prosthetic and is working with a therapist on his rehabilitation. He requires minimal support with personal care and help with domestic duties. The right candidate will support while encouraging independence and providing reassurance when needed. You will be required to drive our client's vehicle so the client can actively access the community. Therefore, you must hold a full UK driver's licence.
