My Client is a Mechanical and Electrical Contractor based in Warwick who have been established for over 50 years. We have an excellent name in the Construction Industry and we work for Main Contractors. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager, you will be working on reactive and planned maintenance in a variety of commercial and domestic situations either in Offices, Health Centres, Hotels, Schools, Residential, Care Homes, Student Accommodation etc. You will need to be multi-skilled to carry out a variety of maintenance such as leaks in which you will need to fault find and rectify, reporting back to the office with any material requirements and providing a report/note so the office can report back to the Client and perhaps book another visit in. These can be from Showers, toilets, under sinks, coming through walls etc etc. You will have toilets not working where you will need to fault find and replace parts. You may have boilers not working, you may need to fault find why the temperature on the heating system isn’t working or be outside looking at downpipes. For this you will need a good knowledge of all systems, be organised and practical and have an excellent standard of workmanship. My Client also have various planned maintenance contracts in which you will carry out once or twice yearly checks and services on various systems including boilers, hot and cold water supplies, heating and ventilation. Alongside this we carry out maintenance and small works for mainly local businesses. This role also supports the major projects team after project completion during the 12 or 24 month defect period working with Customer care who will schedule your visits during the week. All work is in the Midlands area, predominantly in and around Birmingham but we also have visits in Nottingham and more locally to the office. For this role you will need to have a good customer focus as you will be going into people’s homes and offices and will need to be respectful, polite and communicate well. Experience/Requirements At least five years relevant construction employed industry experience either in an install or maintenance environment NVQ in plumbing –domestic and commercial NVQ in Heating and Ventilation Gas Safe Qualified (Domestic as minimum) Hold a relevant trade CSCS skills card Full UK Drivers License Excellent customer service Ability to work independently and pro-actively, making decisions where required.
