We are looking for a highly motivated Physiotherapist who has a passion for prehabilitation, respiratory and post-operative Physiotherapy.
You will manage a caseload of patients with varying diagnosis and/or complex needs, using evidence-based practice and client-centred principles, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in a defined clinical setting.
You will participate in the planning, development and evaluation of clinical practice and service development within the area.
You will ensure development of staff and students through supervision, training and appraisal.
We are a large major trauma, multi-speciality hospital supporting both the local population and wider tertiary populations. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple surgical specialities such as:
Colorectal
HPB
Upper GI
Transplant
ENT/Max fax
Urology
Plastics
Vascular
Overnight Intensive Recovery
The team is friendly and dedicated towards the delivery of an excellent service for all our users, as well as constantly looking at better ways to provide a service. This opportunity is open to experienced Band 6 Physiotherapists who wish to specialise in the physiotherapy management of patients who have undergone surgery.
You will have the opportunity to improve your service development, audit, leadership and research skills.
To provide a high standard Physiotherapy Service to post-operative and trauma patients in the Surgical Wards.
To further develop skills in caseload prioritisation, service development audits and staff management.
To deputise for the Band 7 Team Lead and develop team management skills whilst carrying a complex patient caseload.

Our service is pivotal to the flow of patients through the hospital and we have a supportive network of Allied Health Professionals. This role will allow you to progress and shape our services and continue to develop a robust physiotherapy provision for our patients.
