FTE Salary: up to £36,099.00 per annum, plus £5,000 annual markets supplement (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)

SGS College's Apprenticeship Team have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Assessor to teach our Level 3 Installation Electrician and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship courses at either the Stroud Campus or Horizon 38 (Bristol) Campus.
Working closely within the Construction Apprenticeship Team, you will support learners to achieve their ambition of becoming fully qualified electricians.
You will work with employers and learners building relationships, whilst delivering the knowledge and skills on-site and you will support the learner to build a (NVQ) portfolio of evidence. Supporting the apprentices with workplace learning will ensure they gain the range of work examples to qualify.
You will work as part of a team delivering other elements of the apprenticeship programme such as completing regular work progress reviews with both learner and employer, ensuring that both parties are fully aware of progress and support with any interventions and action planning to help the learners succeed.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Support the enrolment of apprentices.
* Prepare learning plans, skills assessment and off-job-training plans with employer and apprentice.
* Support with the interviews and induction process prior to the apprenticeship enrolment.
* Deliver the work-based element of the apprenticeships, including on-site training, assessment and feedback.
* Help learners prepare for their end point assessment (Am2s).
* Work with Training Officers to complete regular progress reviews with both learner and employer, ensuring employers are fully aware of progress.
* Work with the wider team, including lecturers, learning support and functional skills, to support the apprentices to succeed.
* Maintain accurate records of apprentice progress and achievement using Smart Assessor.
* Support apprentices to access learning support when required and record these following processes.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
* Essential relevant experience working within industry.
* Experience working with apprenticeship provision is beneficial but not essential.
* Essential a qualification at Level 3 Electrotechnical Installations (Building and Services).
* Assessor qualification or willingness to undertake it once employed.
* IT skills including email.
* Ability to work under pressure at various points in the year.
* A willingness to travel to employer sites.
